If you are a frequent traveler seeking a destination to avoid the crowds and chaos of tourist-filled cities, Nosara is just what you are are looking for. This gem of a destination is truly a sanctuary for those wanting a genuine, off-the-beaten-path experience with a plentiful fix of nature and resources to mentally and physically rejuvenate.

Lodging in Nosara varies between Airbnb and hotels, both offering their own benefits. Renting an Airbnb gives the visitor their own personal space, the only nearby sounds being that of the cicadas. Perfect for a couples trip or group of friends, this allows for the privacy that is often deprived at larger resorts. On the other hand, hotels offer a unique experience: pools, smoothie bars, and hourly yoga lessons. The Harmony Hotel being one example of an inexpensive, unforgettable experience.  Lodging near the beach is recommended, as opposed to in the nearby mountains due to their rough terrain causing accessibility issues to Nosara’s amenities.

The “peak season” occurs from January to March, and is known for its blue skies and large surf waves. However, the summer months offer lower prices, less crowds and almost equally-beautiful natural features. While rainy some days, it helps to contribute to the full “jungle experience”, and it really is beautiful to see the Costa Rican terrain in various weather conditions.
