The 4 must-listen podcasts as a college girl

If you are in an entertainment slump .. where no music, podcasts, shows, ect.. Are keepin you entertained, The Edge has the perfect list for you. Personally – my recent kick has been listening to podcasts on end.

Especially in college, it is easy to have moments where you are feeling lonely or missing the advice of someone older than you. These are the times where podcasts truly can save your mood, week, or recent crisis. Here are our favorite podcasts we currently have been loving for all occasions.

 1.Therapuss by Jake Shane

If you have not heard of Jake Shane, let us personally inform you of how hilarious he is. This podcast is for the times where you need pure entertainment and laughter. Each episode feels like you are chatting with your best friend. What makes this podcast different from others is how unapologetically himself he is. Just like your best friend – Jake Shane never sugarcoates his stories, embarrassing nights out, or mental breakdowns.

2.The Psychology of your 20s with Jenna Sbeg

If you are going through that dreadful phase, as we all do, where you’re feeling so deeply confused on why everything is going wrong in your 20’s – this is the podcast for you. As most college students are told, these four years are supposed to be the ‘best years of your life’. This podcast is the place to go when this cliche statement you most likely have heard since you were 15 is anything but true. Each episode Jenna Sbeg mixes advice and psychological facts which will help bring clairty to those moments where your 20’s feel like a mix of highs and lows, crashes and burns, and the most confusing years of your life.

3.Moments podcast by Lexi Hidalgo

One aspect of college which apparently everyone forgets to mention to you is how many insecurities college brings. This is the first time in your life where most likely everything is changing. From your friends, to where you're living, to your body – but we promise this is a universal college girl experience. What Lexi Hidalgo nails in The Moments podcast is being transparent about her own issues she has dealt with, this podcast is the gold mine for the day’s where you need an older sister’s advice. She reminds you that not everything has to be figured out – and that’s okay.

4.The Mel Robbins Podcast

Where do we even begin with The Mel Robbins podcast? In 2024 Mel Robbin’s podcast was the 5th most listened to – and for good reason. Each episode tackles a different season of life, common struggle, and different self–help tricks to transform yourself into the best version of yourself. Let’s be clear – our college selves probably won’t be our most perfect versions. But, a huge aspect of college is growing into who we want to be. Even though some of us try to block it out – the real world is coming sooner than we think. Mel Robbin’s helps sort out the tools, goals, and mindset we should have to set us up for success down the road and throughout college.
