The Benefits of Romanticizing Your Life

Romanticize the hell out of your life. Romanticize the freckle on your left ass cheek or getting gas at the station before sunset. Make every moment a good memory. Make yourself feel special because you are special, and we’re tired of this attitude where we attack each other by simply saying “no one cares.”

There are countless benefits when it comes to romanticizing your life. You can start to embrace change, learn from your mistakes, and successfully recover from your failures. During the second half of the 18th century, the Romanticism Movement was created in Europe. The movement represented intellectuality, maturity, creativity, and all around literary perfection. Individuals began to make decisions based on what their heart wanted and chose to denounce logic and reason. It was a time when imagination and emotion were superior and when courtship was praised. Artistic minds were celebrated and individuals valued the intensity of human emotions. The true essence of love and loyalty stems from this era, and we at The Edge believe that you shouldn’t be afraid to let your heart get in the way when it comes to making impactful decisions; we actually encourage it.

Falling in love with life is such a tricky thing. But once you realize how simplistic it is, it has the ability to change your life for the better. You have to start romanticizing your life. You have to start believing that your morning commute is cute and fun, that every cup of coffee is the best you’ve ever had, that even the smallest and most mundane things are exciting and new. You have to, because that’s when you start truly living. That’s when you look forward to every day.

Your life is beautiful, and doing what you love and sharing that with the world on a personal level is incredible. Focusing on your own goals and achieving them deserves to be bragged about. Even if it’s small and minimalistic, it helps you grow into yourself and solidify your self worth.

Taking the most ordinary things and glamorizing them takes time, but it is a rewarding process. Always try and live in the moment. Take a few extra minutes out of your day to focus on you. Appreciate the little things in life. Share, digress, reflect, fight, and most importantly, celebrate. We need to aspire to be the absolute best version of ourselves and that begins with falling in love with your life.
