Quarantine was a time for reflection, relaxation, and isolation, but introduced a new form of communication to the world; TikTok. We at The Edge are certain that you either have the app, casually look at it, or are completely addicted to it. One thing that became increasingly popular during this time of living at home, and living through the phone are easy to make, and even more delicious to eat recipes in a simple one minute video. Since then, “foodtok” has taken over the social media platform, with “for you pages” filled to the brim with numerous recipes.


There are a few recipes that have reached people all around the world, being able to share one dish with multiple communities, and now you can too. Here are 4 of the biggest TikTok recipes that have sweeped the app, and caused your kitchen to smell like heaven. 


Gigi Hadid Pasta

Well known celebrity Gigi Hadid posted on her Instagram story her own version of penne with vodka sauce. Once shared on TikTok, everyone has been making this simple and yummy pasta recipe. Your basic ingredients are tomato paste, heavy cream, and penne pasta, but can be made with any spices or vegetables that your heart desires. 

Feta Pasta

The best recipe to ever hit the face of TikTok is the baked feta pasta. So simple and easy to make, this recipe makes pasta feel like a gourmet meal. All you need are plenty of cherry tomatoes, and a block of feta cheese to place in the middle, melt, and make a beautiful sauce. We at the Edge recommend you take your own path with this recipe and use other vegetables; specifically olives!

All you’ll need is salmon, rice, mayonnaise, hot sauce, soy sauce, seaweed snacks, and a nice tv show to put on while you feast.

Now to tap into your sweet tooth, and give you a little energy boost, whipped coffee is the perfect thing for you. Whipped coffee is a spin on whipped cream, where the coffee is the cream. All you need to use is instant coffee, sugar, water, and a whisk, and mix the ingredients together to make a creamy coffee. Then place it into a glass of milk, and enjoy! Absolutely delicious and a great drink for when you are a walking zombie.
