5 Must-Go Fall Events in NC

Fall has arrived and with it comes the season of fairs and festivals. October in North Carolina is jam-packed with events throughout the state, but with school picking up you might not have the time to travel too far. Don’t fret! We have found five fabulous fall events you can visit and enjoy all in one day. 

North Carolina State Fair

From October 16th-26th take a trip to Raleigh and visit the North Carolina State Fair. If you’re a thrill seeker, foodie, garden admirer or just looking for a good time the fair is filled with rides, food vendors, agricultural exhibits, live entertainment and more. Carolina Renaissance Festival 

Want to be a princess for a day? Just a few hours away in Huntersville you can! From October 4th— November 23rd on Saturdays and Sundays, step into the Renaissance era and enjoy a vibrant and unique variety of live entertainment, artisan vendors, and yummy food. Brushy mountain apple festival 

Pumpkin season is near, but the start of fall is for apples. Support and savor locally grown orchard products while shopping from over 300 arts and craft vendors and 50 concession options all for free! Autumn Fest

If you’re looking for something right next-door, Autumn fest takes place right down the road in Downtown Mebane. Enjoy the historic vibes of downtown with some fall magic while you shop at handpicked artisan vendors, eat local tastes and enjoy live music — our older readers can also enjoy the lively beer garden. Festifall Arts Market & more

If you love fall and love arts and crafts take a trip right down the road to Chapel Hill on October 18th for the Festival Arts Market and more.
