Swimming into Spring

As the warmer weather begins to dawn, we’re starting to picture the many places a swimsuit can be worn, including the concrete backyard of Elon student housing or atop a beachy bed of sand. Having a statement swimsuit will always bring joy regardless of where it may be, and we’re here to provide recommendations to the hard-to-navigate swimsuit-search process. We’ve compiled a list of swimsuits to wear this spring and summer that are more than just a solid print.

It’s no surprise that rose accents were the fashion piece of the fall. If you’re a frequent shopper or Instagram scroller, you are bound to have seen someone sporting a piece with floral detail. Roses are making their way into Spring in the way of bathing suits. This Out from Under bandeau bikini is a flattering take on the trend.

When in doubt, wear a triangle bikini. The triangle shape of a bikini is both flattering and reliable. In 2017, bikini lover Jemina Ty created Blackbough Swim out of her bedroom. The coveted swimsuit brand uses recycled fabric for its swimwear and sources its fabrics from trusted and high-quality suppliers. We love their Martini Triangle top set with its watercolor-like print.

If you’re looking for a high-quality investment, TigerLily has your back. The classic tri shape includes custom patchwork made from sustainable fabric, featuring brushed gold charms and flattering deep coloring.

If there’s one thing you need in your swimsuit wardrobe, it’s a good one-piece. Cotton On sells affordable swimsuits at a reasonable price. We love this navy scooped-back one-piece with a ribbed texture. One piece can also serve as a one-piece, so you get two for the price of one!

Run, don’t walk to Frankie's Bikinis for their spring sale. These two strapless tankini suits are part of Frankie's recent Sydney Sweeney collaboration. Both tops feature a keyhole cutout on the front, an adjustable tie on the bust and a cute lime green or cherry print. Pair the bikini top with the matching bikini bottom, or dress her up as a top for hitting the town on vacation.

In addition to their coveted shapewear line, Skims sells good quality swimsuits at a relatively reasonable price for a Kardashian brand item. This bikini top is a flattering, minimalist swimstyle that features ties at the neck and back adjustable fit that has a lightweight, form-fitting feel.

Last but not least, we’ve included two affordable yet flattering bikinis from H&M. In addition to these two triangle finds, H&M has a plethora of affordable bathing suits in all cuts and styles. We love this lime green beaded wrap-around top that is an extra touch to a basic bikini. As for the second top, you can never go wrong with a bit of black-and-white color blocking. It’s sophisticated yet statement-worthy.
